BIOGRAPHY OF JOEL S. CHARLESTON

BACKGROUND

Joel attended Duke University Law School and graduated in the top 15% of his class. He is presently admitted to practice before the following courts:

  • Supreme Court of the United States;
  • United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit;
  • United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit;
  • United States District Court for the Southern District of New York;
  • United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York; and
  • All levels of Courts for the State of New York.

Joel’s practice activities are a blend of litigation and transactional matters, as follows:

LITIGATION

Joel has an impressive array of skills, which make him an effective communicator and persuader on behalf of his clients. Over the years, Joel has achieved an exceptional record of litigation success, winning over 90% of his civil trials and over 75% of his criminal trials (at an earlier chapter in Joel's career).
